Chocolate Sheet Cake
- FOR THE CAKE:
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 4 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
- 2 sticks Butter
- 1/2 cups Crisco
- 1/2 cups Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 whole Eggs

- FOR THE FROSTING:
- 1/3 cups Milk
- 4 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
- 1 stick Butter
- 3-3/4 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- For the cake:
- Combine flour and sugar in a medium bowl and set aside. Combine water, cocoa, butter and Crisco in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Add to the flour and sugar mixture.
- To make sour milk mixture (also called buttermilk), mix together milk and vinegar. Add sour milk to the rest. Add baking soda, salt, vanilla, eggs and beat well. Bake at 400u0b0F for 20 minutes using a 9" x 13" sheet pan.
- For the frosting:
- Bring to boil the milk, cocoa and butter. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir well. Put hot frosting on hot cake.
