- (At our house, we brown and drain hamburger meat 5-10 lbs at a time. Then we freeze it in 1-pound bagged portions. Yes, we freeze the already cooked, seasoned, and drained hamburger meat. Saves TONS of time, and you only have the clean up of browning hamburger meat every so often. That is the best trick a best friend has ever taught me!)
