A Different Lasagna
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 - 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 2 - 16 oz. cans whole tomatoes
- 1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. oregano
- lasagna noodles, cooked according to package directions
- 1 c. mozzarella cheese
- 8 oz. American cheese slices
- 1 c. freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Brown ground beef, garlic powder, and onion and drain.
- Add tomato paste, whole tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and oregano and cook on low heat for about 20 minutes.
- Layer in a 9 x 13 inch pan in the following sequence:
- Thin layer of sauce, 3 lasagna noodles, 1 c. sauce, mozzarella cheese, 3 lasagna noodles, 1 c. sauce, cheese slices, 3 lasagna noodles, remainder of the sauce, and parmesan cheese.
- Bake covered at 350 degrees for about one hour.
- Then cook uncovered for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is nice and bubbly.
