Mama’S Aztec Chili
- 1 pound Ground Turkey
- 1 pound Turkey Kielbasa Sausage
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 whole Onion
- 1/2 cups Fresh Cilantro
- 15 ounces, weight Canned Black Beans
- 15 ounces, weight Canned Sweet Corn
- 14-1/2 ounces, weight Canned Whole Tomatoes
- 1-1/2 Tablespoon Chili Powder
- 14-1/2 ounces, weight Canned Tomato Puree
- 6 ounces, weight Tomato Paste
- 4 ounces, weight Canned Diced Green Chiles
- 2 Tablespoons Lime Juice
- 1 dash Cayenne Pepper
- Preparation:
- Slice turkey sausage into 1/2-inch slices.
- Mince garlic.
- Chop onion.
- Chop cilantro.
- In a large skillet, brown ground turkey until cooked through. Transfer to a large chili pot over medium heat.
- Drain juice from black beans and corn.
- Once you are finished "prepping," add all ingredients together in your pot, stirring until mixed well. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, and corn muffins.
