Lina'S Meat Loaf(Polpettone Alla Lina)

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. In a large bowl, combine meat, ham, eggs, cheese, nutmeg, salt and pepper; mix well and shape into a roll 4 inches in diameter.
  3. Dredge in flour and place in a baking pan with garlic, butter, oil, rosemary and bay leaves.
  4. Over medium heat, brown roll on all sides.
  5. Finely chop the carrot, celery, onion and parsley; put into pan with meat roll.
  6. Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water and add to pan.
  7. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, basting occasionally with pan juices.
  8. Serves 6.
