Tuna Noodle Casserole
- 6 oz. (3 1/2 c.) medium noodles
- 1 (6 1/2 to 9 oz.) can tuna
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 c. celery, diced
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. shredded sharp cheese (optional)
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds (optional)
- Cook noodles in boiling salt water until tender; drain. Combine noodles, drained tuna, mayonnaise, vegetables and salt. Blend soup and milk; heat thoroughly.
- Add cheese; heat and stir until cheese melts.
- Add to noodle mixture.
- Turn into 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Top with almonds.
- Bake in hot oven (425u0b0) about 20 minutes.
- Makes 6 servings.
- You may skip some of the ingredients if you wish.
- I add some green peas.
