Taffy Apple Pizza
- 2 cups Crushed Vanilla Wafers
- 1 stick Butter, Melted
- 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1/4 cups Peanut Butter
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 2 Granny Smith Apples, Cored And Sliced
- Lemon Juice, To Prevent Apples From Browning
- Caramel Topping, To Drizzle On Top
- Crush vanilla wafers; melt butter and add to crumbs. Press into a 9 by 13 inch pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350u0b0F for 10 minutes; cool.
- Meanwhile, in a medium-sized bowl, mix together cream cheese, peanut butter and vanilla. Spread onto cooled crust. Cut pizza into serving size pieces before adding apples. Core and slice apples (do not peel, the peelings add great color to the pizza); put sliced apples in a bowl and pour lemon juice over them to keep them from getting brown. Drain apples on a paper towel; place onto the cream cheese layer. Drizzle with warm caramel topping.
