Science Nerd Banana Caramel Pie
- 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (14 Oz)
- 3 whole Bananas
- 1 whole Graham Cracker Pie Crust
- _____
- Topping Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- 4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon, More Or Less To Taste
- Boil the can of sweetened condensed milk for 3 hours in a large pot with plenty of water, never letting the water level fall below the top of the can. (Or else it will explode. Seriously.) After 3 hours, you've got a nice caramel.
- Mix the crunchy pie topping ingredients together and place them in a greased pan. Bake at 350u0b0F for 15 to 20 minutes. Break up the pieces once cooled (use a blender if necessary).
- This pie works well with bananas, apples, pears, etc. Mash/chop the fruit over the pie crust, add a layer of the caramel, then cover with the crunchy pie topping.
- Makes one delicious pie.
