Congratulations Or Consolation Cake
- 1 package Devil's Food Cake Mix
- 1 package Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix (3.9 Oz)
- 2 cups Sour Cream
- 1 cup Melted Butter
- 5 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Almond Extract
- 1 package Belgian Chocolate Chips (or Other Chocolate Chips If You Don't Have Belgian)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 10-inch bundt pan, even if it is nonstick.
- In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and pudding mix. Make a well in the center and pour in the sour cream, melted butter, eggs and almond extract.
- Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat for 4 minutes on medium speed. Blend in chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
- This is absolutely delicious and extremely rich! A small slice goes a long way.
