Tennessee Sweet ‘N Sassy Bbq Sauce
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Instant Coffee Crystals
- 1-1/2 Tablespoon Onion Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
- 1/4 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Celery Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/3 cups White Vinegar
- 1/2 cups Ketchup
- 1 cup Sweet Chili Sauce (I Use Frank's)
- 1 can Tomato Puree (15 Oz)
- In saucepan stir together the brown sugar and all the dry ingredients.
- In a bowl combine all the liquid ingredients. Whisk to blend the liquid ingredients, then add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Cook over medium heat until brown sugar dissolves.
- Makes about 3 cups. Store covered in refrigerator. Use on poultry, pork, or even beef.
- This BBQ sauce is sweet and tangy, but mild on the heat. For more kick, just add more cayenne pepper to suit your taste!
- *(Frank's RedHot Sweet Chili Sauce is a new product and may not yet be available in most grocery stores. Heinz chili sauce may be substituted for Frank's).
