Cream Of Bacon Soup: Fuzzy Sock Food
- 8 pieces Bacon
- 1 whole Yellow Onion
- 2 stalks Green Onions
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 32 ounces, fluid Chicken Broth
- 12 ounces, fluid Heavy Cream
- 1 pinch Black Pepper
- 1/4 cups Melted Butter
- 1/4 cups Flour
- 1 loaf Crispy Delicious Bread
- While you are cooking your 8 pieces of tasty and hopefully applewood- or mesquite-smoked bacon, saute the onions and then the garlic in a saucepan. Drain the grease off the bacon and cut the pieces up; add them to the fragrant onions and garlic.
- Pour in 32 oz. of chicken broth and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Add the heavy cream.
- Finally, melt the butter and add the flour into the butter to create the thickener. Add this to the soup. Meanwhile, cut up the deliciously crispy bread and warm it in the oven.
- Let the soup cook on low heat for a little bit until you can't stand it anymore, and then dig in. True Blood is waiting.
