Fresh Peach Pretzel Dessert
- 2 cups Crushed Pretzels
- 1/2 cups Butter, Melted
- 3 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1 package (8 Oz.) Cream Cheese, At Room Temperature (I Use Low-fat Cream Cheese)
- 1 cup Sugar (I Use 3/4 Cup Splenda)
- 1 teaspoon Almond Extract (optional)
- 1 container (8 Oz.) Frozen Whipped Topping, Thawed (I Use Lite Frozen Whipped Topping)
- 1 package (6 Oz.) Peach Jell-O (I Use Sugar-free Jell-O)
- 2 cups Boiling Water
- 4 cups Sliced Fresh Peaches (6 Peaches)
- For the crust, mix together pretzels, melted butter and sugar; spread evenly into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Cool completely.
- For the filling, beat together cream cheese, sugar and extract (if using) until well blended. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled pretzel crust. Refrigerate while making the topping.
- For the topping, dissolve Jell-O in boiling water; allow to cool to room temperature. Stir sliced peaches into cooled Jell-O. Place mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, then spoon over the cream cheese mixture. Chill until firm.
- Makes 10 to 12 servings.
