Caramel Apple Monkey Bread
- 1 can Pillsbury Grands Jr. Homestyle Biscuits
- 2 whole Apples
- 1/2 cups Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
- 6 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Corn Syrup
- 2 Tablespoons Sweetened Condensed Milk (optional)
- Preheat oven to 375F. Grease a 9" loaf pan.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon in a gallon-sized plastic bag.
- Seperate and quarter the biscuits.
- Peel and quarter the apples. Remove core pieces and then slice into 1/4 inch slices across the width (bite-sized pieces).
- Toss the biscuits and apples into the cinnamon sugar mixture and then place them in the loaf pan (don't pack it down).
- In a small sauce pan, melt butter, brown sugar and corn syrup together until the mixture boils and the sugar is completely dissolved. Add sweetened condensed milk if desired and cook for a minute longer.
- Pour caramel over the top of the mixture in the loaf pan and bake until it has risen and browned (about 40 minutes).
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out on a serving dish (allow all the caramel to come out, that's the good stuff).
- Serve. It's delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
