The Beast Cake

  1. Follow cake mix instructions and prepare 9-inch cake rounds (you'll typically need water, eggs, and oil, as directed in mix package). Set aside and let cool.
  2. In a large bowl, whip cream until stiff peaks are just about to form. Beat in vanilla and sugar until peaks form. Make sure not to over-beat, else the cream will become lumpy and butter-like.
  3. Slice the strawberries thinly.
  4. Cut each 9-inch round in half and top with whipped cream and strawberries and then add the second half of the 9-inch round. Keep doing this until you have four 9-inch rounds all stacked on top of whipped cream and strawberries.
  5. Finish the cake with whipped cream and strawberries in your desired design.
