The Best Peanut Butter Pie
- 1 package (18.25 Oz. Package) Prepared Brownie Mix (I Prefer Ghiridelli Double Chocolate) Or Your Favorite Brownie Recipe
- 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1 package (Large 16 Oz. Package) Cool Whip Container, Room Temperature
- 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 4 Tablespoons Melting Chocolate, Melted, Optional
- 4 Tablespoons Caramel Topping (optional)
- Make your brownies and let it cool. I like to make mine in a 9" springform pan, or a dish with deep sides so I can pile on the topping later. You can also make the brownies and have people add their own amounts of topping, which means use your favorite brownie-making pan.
- For the topping, you want everything at room temperature. Put all the remaining ingredients into a mixing bowl and whip until combined. Taste, and depending on the peanut butter or the vanilla you use, you might want to add a bit more sugar or peanut butter.
- Spread on the brownie, or keep separate, and cool.
- Optional: use melted chocolate, or caramel topping to create fancy designs and liven up the tastebuds even more.
