The Devil’S Brownies
- 1 bag Caramel Bits, Or Unwrapped Caramels (11 Oz Bag)
- 2/3 cups Whipping Cream, Divided
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 box Devil's Food Cake Mix, 18.25 Oz Box
- 1/2 cups Butter, Melted
- 1/4 cups Chocolate Chips
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Combine caramel bits, 1/3 cup whipping cream, and vanilla in a small saucepan and melt over medium heat until smooth, stirring constantly. Once melted remove from heat and set aside.
- In a medium sized bowl, combine dry cake mix with the remaining cream and the melted butter. Press 2/3 of the brownie batter into the bottom of a greased 8x8" pan and bake for 6 minutes.
- Remove from oven and top with chocolate chips followed by the caramel mixture. Crumble the remaining brownie batter over the caramel and return to the oven for 15-18 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely before cutting.
