Blue Ribbon Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1/3 cups Butter
- 1/3 cups Shortening
- 1/2 cups White Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar, Packed
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1-5/8 cup All-purpose Flour (1 1/2 Cups Plus 2 Rounded Teaspoonfuls)
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
- Heat oven to 375F. Mix butter, shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla thoroughly.
- Stir dry ingredients together; then add to the butter mixture and mix in. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough about 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until just barely browned. Cookies should still be a bit soft.
- Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
- (I'm not really sure how many this makes. Probably around 2 to 3 dozen cookies. Depends on how much cookie dough is eaten!)
