The Perfect Sugar Cookie
- 1-1/2 stick Smart Butter, Room Temperature
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 3/4 cups Light Brown Sugar, Packed
- 1 Egg
- 1 Egg White
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 2-1/4 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- Colored Sanding Sugar
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Cream butter and sugars together. Add egg, egg white, and vanilla. Dump in flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir until combinded. Scoop out golfball-sized balls using a spoon or cookie scoop. Plop each ball in a bowl of sanding sugar and smash with your hand lightly. Repeat until dough is gone and put your cookies on a greased or lined cookie sheet. Bake at 350u0b0F for 13-15 minutes.
