Meet Me In Monte Cristo Sandwiches
- 4 slices White Bread
- 4 slices Black Forest Ham
- 4 slices Roasted Turkey Breast
- 2 slices Provolone Cheese
- 2 slices Mozzarella Cheese
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1/4 cups Whole Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
- 2 Tablespoons Raspberry Jam
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Powdered Sugar
- Prepare the egg batter by beating the eggs with milk in a pie plate. Set aside.
- Assemble the sandwiches:
- Spread 2 slices of bread with the Dijon and 2 slices of bread with the raspberry jam.
- Place 2 slices of turkey on the Dijon bread and top with provolone cheese. Then place 2 slices of ham on top of cheese. Next layer the mozzarella and top with the raspberry jam bread.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.
- Place in the hot butter and grill on each side until brown and melted through.
- To serve, cut each sandwich in two and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Enjoy.
