Three Ingredient Overnight Steel Cut Oats
- 4 cups Water
- 1 cup Steel Cut Oats
- 1/4 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)
- 1 whole Star Anise Pod, Optional
- In a medium saucepan, pour in the 4 cups water. Turn the heat to high and bring the water to a boil.
- When the water comes to a full boil, pour in the steel cut oats and add the salt, cinnamon and anise pod. Stir and let the oats cook for 1 minute.
- After one minute, turn off the heat, give the oats a quick stir, cover and then let them sit out overnight.
- In the morning uncover the oats and turn the heat onto medium low.
- Stir occasionally until the oats are heated through. If there is any water in the pan left it will thicken with the oats as they heat through.
- Top with any sweetness you like, fresh fruit and nuts.
