Sausage And Potatoes Au Gratin
- 1 lb. fresh sausage
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. green pepper
- 1 Tbsp. chopped pimento
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 4 c. thinly sliced potatoes
- Make patties out of sausage; cook and drain and break into small pieces.
- Combine soup, milk, onion, green pepper, pimento, salt and pepper; blend well.
- Place half potatoes in a greased (2-quart) casserole.
- Add half the sausage.
- Cover with half the soup mixture.
- Repeat layers.
- Dot with butter.
- Cover and bake in a 350u0b0 oven for about 1 1/4 hours.
- Remove cover; sprinkle with cheese and bake, uncovered, another 15 minutes or more or until potatoes are tender.
- Serves 6.
