Simple Soup

  1. This recipe is simple, and easily changed to meet your personal preference.
  2. In a large soup pot, cook spicy meat - whatever variety you prefer - over medium heat until browned. Try to break up the crumbles into little bits so it will move around the soup better. Drain grease if necessary.
  3. Once the meat is cooked, simply add the cans of broth and tomatoes. I use different amounts each time. More tomatoes makes the soup thicker, more broth makes the soup more soupy. Make it to your liking. I use diced tomatoes with herbs, or with garlic. You can mix and match. Do whatever feels good.
  4. Allow the soup to simmer for a little while or just heat and eat.
  5. Once soup is hot, ladle into bowls and add spinach leaves (unless you're my husband) and sprinkle with cheese to make it extra good!

ground sausage, chicken broth, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese
