Tschoepe Honey Cookies
- 1/2 cups Honey
- 1/3 cups White Sugar
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons Allspice
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Cloves
- 1 whole Egg
- 1/8 cups Sour Cream
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2-1/2 cups Flour
- 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon Sugar, For Dusting Cookies
- In a saucepan, heat honey, sugar, butter, salt, and spices. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Let cool.
- Beat eggs and add to the cooled honey mixture with the sour cream.
- Add the baking soda and flour to the honey mixture. Stir.
- Put in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes so that the dough hardens some.
- Drop by floured teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 300u0b0F for 14 minutes.
- Note: Take the cookies out before they are brown; they're great chewy! And the cookies aren't very sweet, so I dusted some cinnamon sugar over the tops when I took the cookies out of the oven.
