Trifle
- pound cake
- 2 pkg. frozen fruit (strawberries or raspberries work well; can also use canned fruit salad)
- 2 large pkg. red jello
- 2 large pkg. instant vanilla pudding
- 2 cans whipped cream (Reddi-Wip works well)
- maraschino cherries and/or sprinkle decorations
- Break pound cake into small pieces (can spread with fruit jam if desired) and place in bottom of deep glass dish.
- Thaw fruit; drain and spoon on top of cake.
- Prepare jello according to package directions and pour over fruit and cake.
- Refrigerate until set.
- Prepare vanilla pudding according to package directions and pour quickly over top of set jello.
- The pudding sets up quite fast so you could do this as late as an hour before serving.
- Chill.
- Just before serving, add whipped cream and decorations.
