Baked Spiced Peaches
- 1 (29 oz.) can peach halves
- 1/4 c. reserved peach syrup
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 c. coarsely crushed corn flakes
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped pecans
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- Set out 4 small, individual baking dishes or a shallow baking dish.
- Drain peach halves, reserving syrup.
- Arrange peaches, cut side up, in baking dishes.
- Pour over peaches a mixture of peach syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 10 minutes, basting 2 or 3 times.
- Remove from oven.
- Increase oven temperature to 400u0b0.
- Sprinkle over peaches a mixture of corn flakes, pecans and butter or margarine.
- Return to oven; bake 5 minutes longer.
- Serve peaches warm with cream.
- Makes 4 servings.
