Pumpkin Loaf Cake

  1. In bowl, cream butter until light.
  2. Gradually beat in sugar. Add vanilla.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  4. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves.
  5. Add to creamed butter mixture alternately with canned pumpkin.
  6. When batter is well mixed, add chocolate morsels and 1/2 nuts.
  7. Put in greased and floured loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch) and scatter remaining walnuts on top.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour or until cake springs back.
  9. Allow cake to cool for 15 minutes.
  10. Turn out on rack to complete cooling.
