Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2-1/3 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1-1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Ground Nutmeg
- 2 sticks Unsalted Butter, Softened
- 3/4 cups Granulated Sugar
- 3/4 cups Brown Sugar, Packed
- 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla
- 2 whole Eggs, Room Temperature
- 3 cups Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- Preheat oven to 375.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking soda, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Beat until light and creamy.
- Add in eggs one at a time until fully blended.
- Add in flour mixture gradually.
- Add in chocolate chips.
- Spoon dough onto either a sil-pat lined cookie sheet or a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
- *The issue of the nutmeg - well, ground nutmeg will do if that is all you have, but the major difference is in having a microplane and fresh, whole nutmeg. But, it's up to you.
