Spring Salad
- 2 whole Avocados
- 1 whole Banana, Sliced
- 1 can (about 11 Oz. Can) Manadrin Oranges
- 4 cups Napa Cabbage
- 2 cups Granny Smith Apples
- 1/4 cups Flat Leaf Parsley
- 1/4 cups Chopped Pecans
- 1/2 cups Green Onion, Thinly Sliced
- _____
- FOR THE WHITE DRESSING:
- 1 teaspoon Celery Seed
- 1 Tablespoon Powdered Onion
- 4 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1/2 cups White Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- If you haven't tried napa cabbage, give it a try if you see it at your farm stand or market.
- The white dressing is a tasty recipe for a salad with fruit, nice and light. Mix all the ingredients in a 1-quart covered jar and allow to stand at room temperature for 24 hours. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving. Shake well just before using. This dressing will keep for 1 week in the refrigerator.
- I have also cheated and used my favorite bottled dressing , Newman's Own Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing.
