Valentine’S Tea Cookies
- 3/4 cups Unsalted Butter, Room Temperature
- 3/4 cups Light Brown Sugar, Packed
- 1/4 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 whole Egg, Room Temperature
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 11-1/2 ounces, weight Valentine's Day Mix Milk Chocolate M&M's
- Red And White Sparkling Sugar
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a mixing bowl using an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugars for 3 minutes, on medium speed. Add the egg; mix for 1 minute on medium speed. Add the vanilla; mix for 1 minute on medium speed.
- Sift the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt together in a small bowl. Gradually add the flour mixture to the other ingredients and mix on low-speed, just until combined. Use a silicone spatula to mix in the M&M's.
- Use a cookie scoop or a tablespoon to make rounded dough mounds, and then dip the top of them in the sparkling sugar. Place on a Silpat or parchment paper lined baking sheet leaving about 2 inches between them.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
