Vanilla Vodka Chai Tea
- FOR THE SIMPLE SYRUP:
- 1/2 cups Sugar
- 1/2 cups Water
- FOR THE TEA BASE:
- 3 cups Water
- 4 whole Chai Tea Tea Bags, Individual Serving Size
- FOR THE COCKTAIL:
- 6 ounces, fluid Strong Brewed Chai Tea
- 2 ounces, fluid Vanilla Flavored Vodka
- 3/4 ounces, fluid Amaretto Liqueur
- 1/2 ounces, fluid Simple Syrup
- 1/2 ounces, fluid Half-and-half
- Optional Garnish: Cinnamon Sticks
- FOR THE SIMPLE SYRUP: Place water and sugar in a microwave safe dish and microwave on high in 1 minute increments until sugar dissolves (stirring in between). Note: This makes 8 ounces of simple syrup.
- FOR THE TEA BASE: Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add the tea bags and steep them for 2 to 4 minutes (following the tea directions on the box). Allow to cool and refrigerate until time of use (3 cups of tea will yield 4 drinks).
- FOR THE COCKTAIL: In a cocktail shaker or tall glass, combine the listed cocktail ingredients (except the cinnamon sticks) and shake or stir generously (shaking will froth up the half-and-half and help release the infused flavor in the spirits). Fill a glass with ice and pour the drink over ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or two.
