Vegan Chocolate Cake
- 5 ounces, weight All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 pounds, 1/8 ounces, weight Granulated Sugar, Divided
- 1 ounces, weight Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/8 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon, 1/4 pinches Vanilla Extract
- 1 tablespoon, 3/4 pinches Vinegar
- 5 tablespoons, 3-1/2 pinches Canola Oil
- 1 cup, 2/3 teaspoons, 1/2 pinches Water
- 1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0F and lightly grease a 9" baking pan with canola oil.
- 2. With a wire whisk, mix together flour, 200g sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
- 3. Add vanilla extract, vinegar, oil and water and whisk until combined (don't overmix, just until everything is combined).
- 4. Pour batter into the baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
- 5. Sprinkle with remaining 30g sugar and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
