Blackberry Margaritas

  1. For the blackberry syrup:
  2. Place blackberries and lime juice in a sauce pan over low heat. Heat until berries become soft and begin to burst. Transfer mixture to a blender and puree until smooth.
  3. Add pureed blackberries back to saucepan, along with sugar and water. Bring to a simmer. Simmer for 2 minutes, then remove from heat and bring to room temperature.
  4. For the cocktail:
  5. In a large pitcher, mix cooled blackberry syrup, tequila, Agavero Orange, and lime juice. Stir to combine.
  6. In a shallow bowl, combine salt, sugar, and lime zest. Rim each glass with a lime wedge and dip into salt-sugar mixture.
  7. Fill cups with crushed ice. Pour drink over ice and serve with extra lime wedges.
