Pasta Pie
- 3 c. rigatoni noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 chopped onion (medium)
- 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. garlic (fresh, salt or powder)
- 1 (3 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 qt. spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- Precook rigatoni.
- Brown meat with onion, green pepper and garlic.
- Drain off fat.
- Add tomato paste, spaghetti sauce, sugar and oregano.
- Heat thoroughly (mixture will thicken).
- Grease 9-inch pie pan well.
- Beat eggs; add melted butter and Parmesan cheese.
- Mix well.
- Pour pasta (cooked, drained and cooled) into pie pan.
- Pour egg mixture over and mix in thoroughly.
- Pour sauce mixture over all.
- Bake 20 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top and serve.
