My Favorite Chili
- 2 pounds Ground Beef
- 1 Onion, Diced
- 1 Green Bell Pepper, Chopped
- 2 Jalapenos, Chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 28 ounces, weight Canned Crushed Tomatoes
- 28 ounces, weight Canned Diced Tomatoes
- 15 ounces, weight Canned Tomato Sauce
- 27 ounces, weight Canned Chili Beans
- 1/2 cups Water
- 2 Tablespoons Ground Cumin
- 2-1/2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Dried Oregano Leaves
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 cubes Beef Bouillon
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- Grated Cheddar Cheese And Scallions, For Garnish
- Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain browned beef on a paper-towel-lined bowl. Leave about 2 tablespoons grease in the pot.
- Add onion, bell pepper, jalapenos, and garlic cloves to the pot with the grease and saute for a couple of minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Return beef to the pot. Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, water, cumin, chili powder, oregano leaves, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and beef bouillon cubes. Stir well.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 2 hours.
- Garnish with grated cheddar cheese and green onions.
