Chocolate Banana Bread
- FOR THE CREAM CHEESE SWIRL:
- 5 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
- 2 ounces, weight Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- FOR THE CHOCOLATE BANANA BREAD:
- 7 ounces, weight Flour
- 1 ounce, weight Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 2-1/2 ounces, weight Oil
- 5 ounces, weight Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 8 ounces, weight Mashed Bananas
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F (176u0b0C).
- Start by making the cream cheese swirl. Mix cream cheese and sugar together until there are no clumps. Whisk in egg, then fold in flour until smooth. Put into a piping bag and set aside.
- Next, make the chocolate banana bread. Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine oil and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, until well combined. Add mashed banana. Lastly, add flour mixture. Mix until there are no clumps remaining.
- Pour into greased loaf pan (9x5). Pipe the cream cheese mixture into the chocolate banana batter. Swirl with a toothpick, or a knife.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. For best texture and to keep moist, cool completely before slicing. Enjoy!
