Very Berry Crisp
- 4 cups Frozen Mixed Berries (blueberries, Strawberries, And Raspberries)
- 4 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar Or Honey Granules
- 1/4 cups Plus 3 Tablespoons Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/2 cups Regular Rolled Oats
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar Or Sucanat
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 cups Unsalted Butter
- 1/4 cups Chopped Walnuts
- Vanilla Ice Cream, For Serving (optional)
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- For Filling: Thaw fruit completely in a large bowl at room temperature. Do not drain juices once thawed. Stir in 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar (or Honey Granules) and 3 tablespoons of flour. Pour into a 2-quart square baking dish.
- For Topping: In a medium bowl combine the oats, brown sugar (or Sucanat), remaining 1/4 cup flour, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle topping over filling.
- Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until fruit is bubbling and topping is golden. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
