Savory Parmesan Oatmeal
- 2 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth
- 3/4 cups Old Fashioned Oats
- Dash Of Salt
- 3 MorningStar Farms(R) Original Sausage Patties
- 1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cups Shaved Parmesan Cheese
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- In a medium pot, bring chicken broth to a boil. Add oats, a dash of salt, and stir. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until oats are soft and most of the liquid is absorbed. Set aside.
- Cook sausage according to package directions. Set aside.
- In a small skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Fry or cook eggs sunny-side up until desired consistency.
- Pour oatmeal into a bowl. Top with sausage patties, egg, and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Serve immediately.
