Warm Cinnamon Apple-Pear Sauce

  1. Place chopped apples into a large crock or heavy Dutch oven. Add the remaining ingredients except the pears. Cover the pan with foil and place on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake in a 200u0b0F oven all night. (Alternatively, I have baked this for about 3 hours at 350u0b0F. However, if you go this route, you must stir the pot about every 30 minutes.)
  3. In the morning, use a potato masher to lightly mash the mixture, stirring well. Add the chopped pears. Stir well.
  4. Serve in bowls with a dollop with freshly whipped cream.
