Salted Nut Roll Bars

  1. Combine cake mix, 1/4 cup of the melted butter and egg in a bowl. It will be a little lumpy & dry, this is okay. Press into a 9 x 13 in pan.Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes (until very LIGHTLY browned).
  2. Sprinkle mini marshmallows evenly over baked cake layer. Return to oven for about 3-4 minutes (watch carefully).
  3. While marshmallows are melting in oven: In a medium sized sauce pan, melt butterscotch chips, corn syrup, 1/2 cup of the butter & vanilla over low heat. After all is melted, add the peanuts then the Rice Krispies and mix together.
  4. Immediately spread or drop large spoonfuls onto marshmallows.
  5. Chill pan briefly and cut into bars. You can chill for a few hours if you prefer, only problem is it's hard to cut.
  6. Cut into smaller bars because these are Rich!
