Super Easy Strawberry Shortcake Biscuits
- FOR THE SWEETENED BERRIES:
- 1 quart Strawberries, Sliced
- 1/4 cups Sugar
- FOR THE SHORTCAKE BISCUITS:
- 2-3/4 cups All-purpose Baking Mix
- 3 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1 Slightly Beaten Egg
- 1/2 cups Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
- 1/2 cups Whipping Topping
- Preheat oven to 425u0b0F.
- In a large bowl, mix strawberries and sugar; set aside.
- For the shortcake biscuits, in a medium bowl, combine baking mix, sugar, egg, milk, and butter. Stir until soft dough forms. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently 8-10 times.
- Pat or roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut with a 3-inch floured cutter. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake 10-12 minutes. Cool. Separate shortcakes and fill with sweetened berries. Top with whipped topping. Place lid on top and garnish with more whipped topping and strawberries.
- Store leftover biscuits in tightly covered container.
