Encore Casserole
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 lb. ground round
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- salt
- pepper
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 3/4 c. sour cream
- 1/3 c. diced green onions
- 2 Tbsp. diced green pepper
- 8 oz. size medium noodles
- 2 1/2 qt. boiling water
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
- Melt 1 tablespoon margarine in skillet and brown meat.
- Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper and basil.
- In a bowl, cream together the cheeses, sour cream, onions and green pepper.
- Cook noodles with 2 tablespoons salt for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Drain noodles and toss with melted butter.
- Put half of noodles in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch buttered pan.
- Cover with cheese mixture.
- Top with other half of noodles.
- Pour meat sauce over top.
- Bake for 40 minutes at 375u0b0.
- Serves 8.
