Easy Fruit Dumplings
- 1 can (8 Oz. Size) Crescent Rolls
- 1 whole Peeled, Sliced Apple (or Any Fruit Or Preserves)
- 1 cup Orange Juice
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- 1/2 sticks Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Open the can of rolls and cut each triangle in halves or thirds depending on your preferred size. Place a small sliver of apple in each triangle and wrap the rest of the dough around the fruit. You can also use other fruit or preserves, as well as chocolate. The wrap doesn't have to be perfect.
- Place all the dumplings in a 13X9 baking dish and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine orange juice, sugar and butter, then microwave for just a few seconds until the sugar disolves and the butter is melted. Pour entire mixture over the dumplings. It will look very wet, but will thicken around the dumplings as it cooks and cools and it will turn into a lovely orange sauce. Sprinkle cinnamon over the dumplings and bake for 20 minutes or until they are a pale golden brown. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes, as the sauce will continue to thicken.
