White Boy (Girl) Tacos
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 whole Onion, Minced
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Mexican Oregano
- 1/4 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 box (12-count Box) Trader Joe's Taco Shells
- 1-1/2 cup Sour Cream, Or As Needed
- 1-1/2 cup Shredded Lettuce
- 1-1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 2 whole Tomatoes, Diced
- Hot Sauce, To Serve (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 425u0b0F.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the onions and cook for about 3-5 minutes or until soft and lightly browned around the edges. Stir in garlic and spices. Cook for 30 seconds. Add the ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon to break the meat.
- Place taco shells on a baking sheet and warm in the oven for 2-3 minutes. Remove the shells from the oven. Fill and spread the sour cream on the bottom of the taco shell. Next add lettuce, beef, cheese, and top with tomatoes. We topped our tacos with hot sauce. Enjoy!
