Seventh Heaven Chocolate Cookies
- 4 Tablespoons Butter (1/2 Stick)
- 12 ounces, weight Semisweet Or Bittersweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (not Fat Free)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut butter into several small pieces & put in microwave-safe bowl with chocolate chips and condensed milk. Heat in microwave on high for 1 minute, stir, then heat again for 30-60 seconds, and stir again.
- Stir in vanilla, then add flour and salt. Stir until combined.
- Grease 2 cookie sheets with cooking spray (gently wipe with paper towel afterward) or use parchment. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonful onto sheets (a small cookie scoop is very helpful for this - spray the scoop along with the cookie sheets and it will keep the dough from sticking to the scoop).
- If the dough becomes stiff or loses its sheen before you're finished scooping, just reheat in microwave for 2o or 30 seconds, then proceed.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, rotating sheets half-way through. Cookies will be set but still soft. Let sit on sheets for a few minutes before removing with a thin spatula/turner to rack to cool completely.
- Makes about 50 cookies.
