Pat'S Bread

  1. Combine
  2. flours.
  3. In a large bowl, combine 4 cups flour mixture,
  4. sugar
  5. and
  6. salt;
  7. mix well.
  8. Add 2 more cups flour. Mix thoroughly.
  9. Gradually
  10. add rest of flour.
  11. Dough will be soft and sticky.
  12. Don't knead.
  13. Place in oiled bowl.
  14. Oil top. Cover and
  15. let rise 2 hours, undivided.
  16. Punch down but don't work out yet.
  17. Let rise another hour.
  18. Take out, work a little bit
  19. and shape
  20. into
  21. 6 loaves.
  22. Place loaves in greased loaf pans and
  23. let rise
  24. for
  25. 1 hour.
  26. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  27. Bake 25 minutes.
  28. Bread will be crusty and firm and sound hollow when tapped.
  29. Butter top, cover and let cool.
