Whole Wheat Waffles

  1. Plug in the waffle iron to heat it up while you prepare the batter.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together, then add the melted butter, Crisco, eggs and milk. Mix at medium speed until it's a smooth consistency, but not too long.
  3. Easy peasy! Throw it in the waffle iron and cook until the light goes out! It's that easy!
  4. If you know you'll have leftovers, I recommend throwing cinnamon into the batter. It makes the leftovers extra munchable, and good to eat cold, all on their own.
