Wild Honey Cocoa Recipe
- 1/2 cups Unsweetened Dark Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 7 cups Milk
- 1 cup Half-and-half
- 1/2 cups Wild Honey (doesn't Have To Be Wild, Any Kind Will Work)
- Whipped Cream For Topping
- Gold Sparkling Sugar For Topping
- Combine cocoa powder, salt and about 1 cup of milk in a pot over medium heat until you've got a smooth and thick paste. Cocoa powder doesn't tend to dissolve easily in liquid so making a paste and slowly adding liquid to it really helps make it come together more easily.
- Slowly whisk in the remaining milk and all of the half-and-half and honey. Heat cocoa over low heat until heated through. I don't like to boil my milk as this will often produce a milk "skin" so I recommend that you watch it very carefully and remove it from the heat before it comes to a boil.
- Once cocoa is heated, pour it into mugs and top with whipped cream and sprinkles. Serve immediately as whipped cream will begin melting right away.
