Spice N’ Crumb Banana Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Combine the first 4 ingredients in bowl of mixer and mix on very low speed until crumbly. Press only 1 1/2 cups of the mixture into an ungreased 9 x 13" pan.
  3. Then reserve 1/2 cup of the remaining mixture for the topping and set aside.
  4. To the remaining mixture in the bowl, add the remaining ingredients in the recipe.
  5. Beat at medium speed for 1 minute or until blended.
  6. Spread over crumb crust and sprinkle with reserved 1/2 cup of crumbs.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool and cut into bars.
  8. HINT: When spreading a batter over a crumb crust try first to spoon it as evenly as you can over the crust and then even it out gently with an offset knife/spreader or a silicone spatula.
