Creamy Tuna-Macaroni Toss
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. macaroni twists or bow ties
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk (can use 1/2%)
- 1 chicken flavored bouillon cube
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 (9 1/2 oz.) can tuna in water, drained and flaked
- 1 (2 oz.) jar diced pimento, drained
- Cook macaroni as directed; drain and return to pan to keep warm.
- In a 2-quart saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter.
- Add onion; cook until tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in flour until blended; cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually stir in milk, bouillon cube, salt and pepper.
- Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Stir in tuna and pimento.
- Heat through.
- Toss with macaroni; garnish with parsley, if desired.
