Plum Sauce
- 20 whole Small Plums
- 1-1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons Plum Liquid (from Crock Pot)
- (Here's the thing. I peeled all of my plums with a potato peeler and then pitted them. I then cooked them in the crock pot. It was not an extremely long process, but it took a while. So, if you know of a better way to cook the plums, please do so.)
- Wash your plums. After you wash the plums, peel them, and remove the pit. Cut into chunks and place in the crock pot.
- Dump in the sugar and the cinnamon. Turn your crock pot to High. Let it be for an hour, stirring occasionally.
- After an hour, turn to low and cook for another hour, stirring occasionally. The plums will be nice and juicy, with a lot of liquid.
- After the second hour, remove all plum pieces and put them in a blender. Mix them super well and add in 2 t0 3 tablespoons of the liquid left in the crock pot.
- Let it cool overnight.
- Eat it as a snack, an addition to breakfast ... maybe spread it on toast.
- Note: I want to make some more and try to freeze it and see if it will keep until the fall. Yum!
