Plum Sauce

  1. (Here's the thing. I peeled all of my plums with a potato peeler and then pitted them. I then cooked them in the crock pot. It was not an extremely long process, but it took a while. So, if you know of a better way to cook the plums, please do so.)
  2. Wash your plums. After you wash the plums, peel them, and remove the pit. Cut into chunks and place in the crock pot.
  3. Dump in the sugar and the cinnamon. Turn your crock pot to High. Let it be for an hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. After an hour, turn to low and cook for another hour, stirring occasionally. The plums will be nice and juicy, with a lot of liquid.
  5. After the second hour, remove all plum pieces and put them in a blender. Mix them super well and add in 2 t0 3 tablespoons of the liquid left in the crock pot.
  6. Let it cool overnight.
  7. Eat it as a snack, an addition to breakfast ... maybe spread it on toast.
  8. Note: I want to make some more and try to freeze it and see if it will keep until the fall. Yum!
